Kenya Nutrition and Health Program Plus

Kenya Nutrition and Health Program Plus (NHPplus) in Kenya aims to increase access and demand for nutrition services, and improve food and nutrition security, as well as commodity management support.  As Chief of Party, Njagi is responsible for the overall management and implementation of the project and reporting. He supervises project implementation to ensure the project meets stated goals and reporting requirements.

KEMSA Support Program

KEMSA Support Program was a USAID-funded initiative to support KEMSA to deliver on its core mandate of procurement, warehousing and distribution of medical commodities. As a Chief of Party (2011-2013), Njagi oversaw implementation of activities that transformed the supply chain management in KEMSA leading to creation of autonomous Kenya Medical Supplies Authority as the successor to Kenya Medical Supplies Agency and a start of direct funding of KEMSA from USAID.

Supply Chain Management System

Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) was a US government funded nationwide supply chain program designed to procure, warehouse and distribute laboratory equipment, reagents and related supplies to all health facilities in Kenya. As a Country Director (2008-2011), Njagi initiated and developed SCMS in kenya providing overall management and strategic direction that successfully established a network a distribution network of over 5,000 health facilities, maintaining a near zero stock out for over three years with uninterrupted testing of clients.

AIDS Care and Treatment Services

AIDS Care and Treatment Services (ACTS) was PEPFAR-CDC funded treatment program to support implementation of high quality HIV care to patients in Kenyatta National Hospital including training and infrastructure development. As the Laboratory Director, Njagi planned and delivered laboratory services to support ACTS program.
